Cardboard Crowns

Cardboard-CrownsThis is what my students made today in their after school Cardboard Craft class. Who knew that plastic rhinestones and cardboard could look so cute?

1. I found a roll of corrugated cardboard at my local moving supply store, Box City.  I chose the 3″ width, but they had many more. I cut a generous band for each student.

2. While it was flat, students cut triangles from extra cardboard and glued them to one side of the band.

3. The jewels (found at JoAnn Fabrics) were glued to the cardboard with Aleene’s Tacky Glue, which helped set the shapes in just about 10 minutes or so.

4. The crowns were sized one last time and stapled in place.
