I’m trying to encourage my students to do more doodle drawing, which I define as just very simple shapes that may be random or may make a picture. The goal is simply for them to have fun, and work independently. I’m not against helping someone who is struggling, but some students turn asking for help into a habit that is then hard to break.
This collection of drawings are in the style of a designer named Inga Wilmink, who I think is a master doodler. Students can use this tutorial to pick and choose whatever they want to draw, wherever they’d like to. Thanks to Clover, a second grader, for letting me use her amazing art!
