Color Mixing Hearts

Colorful Heart paintingThere are times when it is good to plan with a pencil, and then there are times when you just need to draw with a brush.
You can’t go wrong with these rows of delicate hearts, even if they do get crooked and lopsided. In fact, I think hat makes them look even better. Who wants a painting that looks like a computer made it?

MATERIALS
• Watercolor paper
• Crayola Mixable Watercolor Set
• Water
• Small paper plate for mixing

DIRECTIONS
1. Students use the water to mix new colors with their watercolor sets. They paint a row of hearts that is as evenly spaced as possible.
