Common Core craftYou can make a cool pattern AND remind young students that triangles are always made with just three sides.

Could be a nice Father’s Day gift too as a pack of 4 cork discs only costs $5.

MATERIALS
Cork Discs
Sharpie markers, brush tips
Clear sealer

DIRECTIONS
1. Draw any a triangle in the center of the disc with the marker and fill in.
2. Draw another triangle that is attached to the first and fill in.
3. Continue adding triangles and closing spaces with a line until all of the disc is colored in.
4. Spray with a clear sealer to keep from staining.

Common Core Standard: CCSS.Math.Content.1.G.A.1
Distinguish between defining attributes (e.g., triangles are closed and three-sided) versus non-defining attributes (e.g., color, orientation, overall size); build and draw shapes to possess defining attributes.
