I like to remind students from week to week which elements we are using in our projects. I find that if they complete this page on their on as a follow up, they are reinforcing that information, and I don’t need so spend an entire class teaching just elements.
In the past I have asked students to start examples from scratch, which took forever, and of course if they just read about them, I doubt they remember them very well. This concept is that their coloring for each word needs to illustrate what that word means. They will have to trace the words, and color or shade or gradate or texturize them appropriately. I think the dashed letters give them a starting point, but still leave options on how to finish them.
