Dr. Seuss Hat Template

Dr. Suess Hat TemplateI’ve made a blank hat template  to help celebrate Dr. Seuss’ upcoming birthday. I once used it as an art history lesson by reviewing a couple of famous artists (Matisse, Picasso, Van Gogh, etc.) and then asking students to create a hat in their style.

We did this on the day before Dr Seuss’s birthday. THANK YOU! it was really fun! We first practiced in the forms of Jasper Johns, Henri Matisse, and Joan Miro. They really got into it!! What a fun idea.

This is a great idea! It would work awesome for a sub too. I am out for 4-5 weeks with a broken leg and trying to find interesting things for the kids to do that still involve learning but are easy for the non-art sub! check out my blog smartypantsjohnston.blogspot.com
