We’re doing these, and they’re coming out great. The students were at first reluctant to “get physical” with the pastels, but once they allowed themselves to be free within the process, they saw the work take off. Since Valentine’s Day has passed, they asked if they could use other shapes aside from the heart; they came up with moons, suns, stars, hearts, mandala…very simple shapes. I am excited to see the end result!
