Mosaic art is the creation of images with stone, glass or other materials. The earliest examples have been found at a temple in Mesopotamia, which means this is one of the oldest art forms around. Students can make their own with fall colors by using beans found a any grocery store.
1. Students spread white glue on a thick piece of cardboard, about 2″ x 2″. To make the art more functional, try covering a rectangle punched with a hole to turn it into a necklace afterwards.
2. Beans are arranged to make an interesting pattern or shape. Let dry and add glossy finish with Mod Podge if desired.
