Student’s Cast Tissue Tiles

Cast Tissue PaperHere they are, my student’s cast tissue paper tiles, taped on to some chipboard to make book covers. They look amazing with all the colors that bled together. To recap, I was first inspired by this Cast-Tissue post at dickblick.com. I ordered the black plastic rubbing plates and students simply applied 1″ squares of cheap bleeding tissue paper to them with 50/50 white glue and water and let dry. When dry, they were peeled off, trimmed along the edge, and glued to a piece of chipboard. Duct tape wrapped around the edge gave them a finished look. Hmm, now to think of the other possibilities for this process…
