3D Miro Painting

Here’s a fun Joan Miro art lesson that calls for a few supplies. It’s a great time to imitate Miro’s simple shapes, just like those found in his surrealist paintings.

MATERIALS

DIRECTIONS

  1. Draw a simple figure on watercolor paper.
  2. Trace the drawing with a marker and crayon.
  3. Cut 2″ squares from tissue paper.
  4. Brush water over art and apply tissue paper.
  5. Let the tissue dry on the paper.
  6. Remove the tissue.
  7. Cut yarn.
  8. Glue yarn to paper as desired.
