This is what my students made today in their after school Cardboard Craft class. Who knew that plastic rhinestones and cardboard could look so cute?
- PREP: Cut a corrugated cardboard strip that is 3″ tall by the width of the crafter’s head, plus 2″ or so.
- While the strip is flat, students cut triangles from extra cardboard and glued them to one side of the band. I recommend that the raised side is the outside of the crown, and the flat is the inside.
- The jewels were glued to the cardboard with Aleene’s Tacky Glue, which helped set the shapes in just about 10 minutes or so.
- The crowns were sized one last time and stapled in place.
