Canvas JournalThis is basically a piece of painted canvas glued to a pad of 6″ x 9″ paper with chip board covers. I love how the students, especially this kinder Zac, just got experimental with making designs. Wish I could keep this one for myself!

CLASS ONE: Students paint an over sized piece of canvas that is to be the cover, approx. 8″ x 20″, with acrylic paint. I suggested they cover it all with one color, and then go back and add details on top. They also cover a stack of 6″ x 9″ papers with chipboard and paint one end with binding compound.

CLASS TWO: Students glue one side of the pad to one side of the canvas with white glue and clip closed to dry. Paint markers and glitter paint may be used on one side of the canvas.

CLASS THREE: Students glue the other side of the canvas to the pad. Paint markers and glitter paint are used on the remaining side.

POST PREP: The books are trimmed out with an adult scissors.
