Here’s a new project I tried for an art party today – Sharpie markers on a silk scarf. It’s the same process as you may have seen on t-shirts, but the finished product is so much more elegant. The scarves come from the Dharma Trading Co. and they only cost about $3 each. Sara, a 2nd grader, colored hers with some loose scribbles and then sprayed it with rubbing alcohol, which makes the colors bleed together. I found some alcohol already conveniently sold in spray bottles at my local Rite Aid Store. Could make for some really great holiday gifts!
