Returning for its 10th year, this country art retreat is hosted by Whitney Hill in Hickory Valley, TN
A historic home with connections to the Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney family, the house has been lovingly restored by its owner, Regina Brotherton. Guests will enjoy meals in the main dining room, and work each morning and afternoon in the studio barn.
Expand your visual arts education with new art lessons that follow National Core Arts Standards
Enjoy a morning and afternoon work session on both Friday and Saturday, trying out over 15 projects that teach valuable skills for elementary students. Work at your own pace, and focus on those you know will work best for your students.
Enjoy getting pampered while you focus on your art projects during this creative weekend.
Regina’s decorating skills are only surpassed by her her skills in the kitchen. A hearty breakfast, lunch, appetizer and dinner is included, and all are served with lots of southern tales that go with everything Regina creates.

The final cost of the weekend ranges from $1497 – $1747, depending on if you choose a basic, premium or VIP room. This covers all art supplies, lodging and food for the weekend, with the exception of alcoholic beverages (BYOB).

Attend two daily classes in the business center of the Harrison apartment building
Enjoy morning and afternoon work sessions on both Friday and Saturday, trying out over 15 projects that teach valuable skills. Work at your own pace, and focus on those you know will work best for your students. Earn a certificate for 14 hours of PD time.
Choose your own lodging in the vicinity, to fit your own needs
There are many hotels and Air B&Bs within walking distance. If you live close enough to drive from home and attend each day, that is welcome too. Both days include an afternoon lunch. Reston Town Center is a 10-minute walk with lots of options for evening meals.
