Hi, Kathy! I wanted to share an art project that was inspired both by your MLK coloring page, as well as the fantastic info I received on your blog. I was thinking of creating an MLK quilt, and I really wanted to tie it to history. I purchased Belle, the Last Mule at Gee’s Bend as you recommended, and we talked about the impact of his visit. We made our own quilt squares, colored or traced your MLK coloring page and wrote an MLK quote on it, and then each student wrote an encouraging quote of his or her own.
