When self portrait elementary art projects are combined with a lesson about famous artists, all kinds of creative outcomes are possible. This collection of twelve art projects, which work for grades K-5, are either directly connected to a famous artist, or give a nod to some of the important art movements that have occurred. All include a simple self-portrait drawing guide and a step by step tutorial so students can work at their own pace.
