Draw a Tugboat
Use some very basic shapes to learn how to draw a tugboat. Then make two shades of blue with one crayon. (Psst, press harder for the ocean.)
This is a good tutorial for very young artists as all the shapes are super simple. It’s a good way to even introduce the idea of following step by step instructions.

How to Draw a Tugboat
- Make guidelines. Draw a line of waves.
- Draw the bottom of the boat.
- Add a boat top.
- Add a roof to the top.
- Draw pipes on top of the roof.
- Add the details shown.
- Add a door and window.
- Draw smoke coming out of the pipe.
- Trace with a marker and color.
