Students learning about Women’s history now have some help in learning how to draw Mother Teresa. This tutorial will show how to draw her likeness in a blue-edged white sari rather than the traditional clothing for a nun. This was because it was more practical for the hands-on nature of her work.

Mother Teresa taught at the Loreta school in India for 20 years before becoming headmistress. It was around this time that Teresa claimed to hear the calling of God, who told her to help the sick and needy.

In 1979, Mother Teresa received the Nobel Peace Prize for her charity work. Many years later, in 2016, Pope Francis canonised her as a Saint in the Catholic Church.
