How to Draw Water: Easy Step-by-Step Art Lesson for Kids

Here you’ll find an easy step-by-step tutorial for how to draw Water. It’s a step up from the usual wave lines that most children start with.

Drawing of Water

When your students are ready to learn how to draw water that looks a bit more realistic, but doesn’t need to get into any fancy shading, this might be the perfect drawing tutorial for you. It still starts with wavy lines, but has more of them than usual, and some curvy splash looking lines as well.

No one need to think they must copy this exactly, in order to look like water, but it might inspire some more creativity the next time your class needs to draw say a boat in water, or and ocean scene. Lots of interlocking lines with a few that break into splashes is bound to make any drawing a bit more interesting.
