Garfield is the main character in an American newspaper comic strip of the same name, created by Jim Davis in 1978. Garfield is a lazy, orange tabby cat who loves lasagna and sleeping, but hates Mondays, Nermal, and exercise. He is known for his dry sense of humor, and his ability to communicate with his owner, Jon Arbuckle, through cartoon “thought bubbles”. Garfield’s other pet is Odie, a dim-witted yellow dog.
